Today I was listening to a podcast about an Italian that is now keto, and how most of his family still eats the traditional Italian dishes. While listening I started to get hungry for Lasagna and I decided to make my own Keto Lasagna!! I hope that you enjoy it as much as my family did!!
1 lb Ground Beef
1/2 lb Ground Italian Sausage or Breakfast Sausage
6-15 Slices of Ham
1 cup Marinara Sauce (I Recommend Mezzetta's or Rao's marinara as they have no added sugar or other junk)
1/2 tsp Select Savory Seasonings, California Granulated Garlic, divided
1 cup Ricotta Cheese
1 cup Shredded Mozzarella, divided
2/3 cup Parmesan Cheese, divided
-Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
-In a skillet brown the ground beef and ground sausage together over medium heat on the stovetop until no pink remains (about 15 minutes).
-Drain the excess fat and return to heat.
-Pour the sauce, 1/2 tsp Select Pizza Seasoning and 1/2 tsp California Granulated Garlic into the pan with the meat sauce and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.
-In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, and 1/3 cup of the Parmesan.
-Add the remaining Select Pizza Seasoning and California Granulated Garlic powder to the cheese mixture and fold until completely combined.
-In an 8x8 baking pan layer 6-9 pieces of ham on the bottom of the pan
-Spread half of the cooked meat and sauce mixture on the ham (The sausage in the picture is leftovers that I added to the Lasagna, it is not a part of the recipe)
-Spread half of the cheese mixture on the meat
-Layer 6 pieces of ham on top of the cheese mixture and repeat with the meat and cheese
-Sprinkle the top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
-Bake for 30 minutes until bubbling and the top begins to turn golden. Serve warm.
